You might celebrate Cinco de Mayo with margs and tacos, but do you really know what it is?
Quick history lesson: Cinco de Mayo commemorates the triumph of the Mexican army at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Basically, it’s not Mexico’s independence day, but it’s resistance to foreign intervention as a young country.
This easy peasant dress features a figure-flattering cinched waist that will definitely make for a staple in your closet. The floral embroidery detail is perfect for turning spring into summer, and you’ll feel like a garden goddess.

Okay so this dress might be the cutest thing we’ve ever seen. The low plunging neckline to the halter neck and swinging skirt make this piece nothing short of perfect. It’s orange combo color is great for the warm weather, made to make you feel like the ultimate sand queen.
While this dress is a bit out of our personal price range, we can’t help but adore it’s feminine frills. With it’s stand-up piecrust neckline alongside the light floral print, we’re instantly transported to a summer abroad. I mean, who’s NOT getting Blair Waldorf vibes from this one?
Kimchi Blue always gives us something to look forward to – and this dress is no exception. This botanical button-down maxi comes complete with a ruffle-trimmed neckline and a flared slit-front bottom that’s sure to turn heads. Excuse us while we grab our credit cards.
Summer may be on its way, but until then we’re stuck with days that are sunny one day and cloudy the next. We like to call this time of year The Magic Hour, given that our selfies always look fantastic in this light.
But really, when you have the desire to walk along the beach but the sand is wet from the rain the night before, what do you wear? You know we here at GWT think of everything, so of course we have just the looks for you.
So maybe you get a little chilly pretty easily. There’s no shame in your game when you’re wearing this cozy, oversized kimono. Pair this with a crop top and some high waisted pants and you’re good to go.
This piece from Zara is exactly what you’re looking for when you’re looking to go out during a Magic Hour day. This knit jacket is like a work of art that was made to keep you warm while you dip your toes in the cool water.
We really love this plunging neckline halter top. With it’s bare back and natural waist crop, this is the perfect layer to add under one of your warm, sandy knit layers. Not to mention the price is unbeatable.
When that desert sun is beating down on you hard, you’re going to wish you had something to protect yourself from the rays. This trendy canvas baseball cap is the perfect staple to any outfit (in any color) and is easy to pack up and go! No bulkiness.
While you could bring any blanket to Coachella (and you should), we prefer this one. It’s colorfully woven exterior makes for the coziest handmade blanket. It’s easy to fold and take on the road, and even comes with a convenient leather strap to carry around. You won’t want to leave home without it.
Daaaaaamn Daniel! If you’re going to be walking around all weekend, you better be wearing comfortable shoes! With these Vans, it won’t get much more comfy than this. Transform yourself into a rad babe in these dope high-tops.

Desert boots and kaleidoscope vibes. Weekend one of Coachella might be in the books, but what about weekend two? Or the other festivals that are on their way?
We know festivals are all about the music, but it’s also about the experience, the fun, and of course – the fashion. So whether you’re revving up for this weekend’s Coachella, or are collecting some pieces now for Governor’s Ball, we’ve got just the looks for you.
Sexy and sassy, this woven cropped halter is giving us some serious 90s vibes. It’s no shock that the lace-up look is “in” right now, but paired with some suede shorts and a flower choker, and you’re a Coachella Queen.
OMG this is so cute. Let’s be real, festivals can be sweaty. But in this smocked, off-the-shoulder midi, you’re going to feel light and airy during your long day of raging. Throw on some (comfy) desert boots and you’re good to go.
Hi guys! We know we’ve been M.I.A. for a while but we’re back and better than ever. After a busy few weeks, we’re ready to kick off and what better way to start than with our favorite style season of the year?: COACHELLA!
This past weekend has been all about the positive vibes, warm sun, and the festival wear that gives us life. 🙌 We’re so excited about the looks that have already been debuted (and the possibilities that could happen this upcoming weekend), that we’ve decided to make this whole week a Coachella one!
Let’s start with our favorite looks of the music fest:
It’s no surprise that the Queen of Coachella is first on our list. Every year, her festival wear game gets stronger, and this year was no exception. With her natural beachy waves, gorgeous gold necklace, and hippie-inspired dress, this lovely lady nailed her look.
Kendall is turning into quite the mini Coachella Queen herself, with having some of our favorite looks last year. But this time she completely owned the scene when she came through in this lacy little bralette. Paired with some sexy jewelry (including a nipple piercing we peeked on sister Kylie’s Snapchat), she looked like a desert dream.
Speaking of the Jenners, we have to admit that Kylie killed it Sunday. Her kaleidoscope hair was giving us psychedelic vibes that could only be matched with her Discount Universe two piece.
Our favorite heiress was dressed to impress this Coachella with her lacy dress draping her leggy figure. Accompanied by a cute cat ear headband, Ms. Hilton was definitely serving up some sex kitten realness.
Another favorite look of ours during Coachella’s first weekend goes to this VS Angel. Looking like a gem in her round sunnies and peasant dress, we’re loving this outfit. Snaps for her milkmaid braid hairstyle – it’s a personal favorite of ours!
While we’re on the topic of models, our all time favorite of this past Coachella weekend goes to this look. We’re LIVING for Suki’s colorful dress that gives us total Indio, California feels. If Green With Trendy were an outfit, this would be it.
Guuuuuuuuys. Isn’t this dress so effing cute? You could be your own personal 90s queen in this woven cami dress that comes complete with an embellished front with beads and embroidery. We’re adding it to our cart right now!
Miley said it best: “I hopped off the plane at LAX, with a dream and my cardigan.” But let’s be real, are you wearing a cardigan on the plane? Hell no.
So you’re going on vacation and you want to look cute when you land, but you’re not trying to sit on a plane for 4 hours in heels and a mini skirt. We get it. We’ve all been there. What are you supposed to wear on a flight? Let us help.
This sheer, lightweight tee is perfect for flying because with it’s slouchy, effortless fit, you’re going to look like a rockstar even when you step out. Say goodbye to wrinkled clothing and hello to your destination.
These joggers got you covered in the pants department. First off, they’re super-soft and so comfy so you won’t be getting antsy in your seat. Secondly, they’re a chic alternative to jeans so you can look your coolest stepping off the plane.
Another super-soft piece just waiting to board with you. This gorgeous, drapey tee has a sexy surprise in the back that was made for traveling. Pair this with some black leggings and you’re good to go.
What do you guys normally wear on the plane or while traveling? Let us know in the comments!
When you wake up listening to your Feel Good Indie Rock Spotify playlist, you might have some dreamy, kaleidoscope vibes. If this is the case, read on. If not, keep reading – you’re sure to find something you love.
We’re sure you’ve seen this patterned on your great aunt’s old blanket, but doesn’t it look just darling on? Made specifically for the H&M LOVES COACHELLA collection, we’re in love this is sweet looking dress. I mean, does it get more retro than crochet?
The warm weather calls for our favorite accessory of the season: the bralette. Bralettes are wonderful for tops that are sheer, low cut, or have very weird backs. 😅 The longer ones even double as a crop top!
We’re huge fans of the bralette because all you need are a few good ones and you can truly transform your wardrobe.
Another dual-agent bralette, this gorgeous structured top comes equipped with an intricate lace trim and stretchy smocked back for your comfort. We’re kind of obsessed with all this lace, can you tell?
How do you wear bralettes? Let us know in the comments!
